So, I am still sick. This will be just about two weeks now. And I went to the ER yesterday to make sure I didn’t have anything super serious like Bronchitis(spl?) and the H1N1. Praise God to the fullest that all it is, is a strong virus. Doctors say I just need to keep drinking juices and water, and take this strong ibuprofen the prescribed.

But that’s not the reason why I decided to make a tumblr post. I knew God put me there for a reason because I pretty much knew that all I had was a virus but my mom, being a mom, was getting worried and called Seton Medical Center. After describing my symptoms to the nurse, the nurse said that it would be best for me to head into the ER to make sure I didn’t have H1N1. So I fill out a form and get registered and I immediatley get sent into the ER. Then thats when I started to see God’s message. I knew I wasn’t sick w/anything serious and their were people there who were definitely worse off than me. There was a man getting treated for an ulcer, there was a grandma who was in pretty bad shape, and then there was me. A guy who was in the ER just cause their mom was too worried. As I was sitting on the bed, I over heard the other two people. The man who got treated for an ulcer was the first to leave and it looked like he can barely walk, but he limped off to go home. I prayed that he had someone to help him home, like a relative or friend. The one that hit me the hardest was the old filipino grandma.

She was in obvious pain and just wanted to be in a comfortable place. The ER is one of the most unattractive rooms to ever be in. Her granddaughter had to leave to get another car to pick her up and bring her home. So basically she was alone. And every 5 minutes she would yell out to the hallway saying, in a frail fob voice. “Excuse me, nurse, I am lonely.” The people would just pass by. 5 minutes later, “Excuse me, Doc, I am lonely. I do not want to be here, I want to go back to 4th floor.” I am assuming she was in the upper levels earlier, and there were people every where there. Plus she probably had a TV. I was pissed because nobody was doing anything but I can’t blame them. A hospital is a busy place. It also hurt me, I wanted to go over there and just talk to the grandma but before I could the doctor came in to check on me. The dcctor said I just had a virus and can go home. But before I did, I stayed in my area and prayed over the grandma. It was all i could do in my current state. And praise God. Nurses and a doctor finally came to attend to her and she would be fine and ready to go home. I left, but w/much more fire in my heart.

God blessed me w/a healthy body and I should not take it for granted. So many of us suspect, oh I won’t get cancer. I won’t get H1N1. You never know. We must continue to keep ourselves healthy with prayer and action. I also learned that God wanted me to know that the reason why the most of us are healthy is because He wants us to pray for the sick. Not just physically sick, but also the spiritually sick, the mentally sick. Plus so many people are getting sick early into this year. For instance, the situation w/Tito Julius. He was sent into the ER because of a heart attack. Let’s continue to be a Champion for the poor and sick. God bless everyone!
